In this article we explore how language and self talk impact our ability to motivate ourselves, achieve at high levels and live the life we deserve. We also look at 5 popular dis-empowering words and phrases and replace them with empowering words and phrases to support motivation, success, love, gratitude and achievement.
Let’s get straight to it.
Our actions create our life… Agree? Our thoughts create our actions…. Agree? Our thoughts are communicated to us in the form of language…. Agree? So…how can we live our largest, most expressive and most loving life if we are using vocabulary that makes us smaller, weaker and discouraged.
Do you know anybody, maybe even yourself, who loves to use phrases like: “This only happens to me”, “Life’s a b*tch“, “I caaaaaaaaan’t!”, “Never!”, “I just can’t win”, “I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t”.

Are you a victim or a leader? – from Robin Sharma

I had to repost this from Robin Sharma’s blog. He is such a leader and makes you want to strive for more. This post also really makes you think, which side of the fence are you on??? From Robin’s blog:

If you like the idea of the people you work with becoming leaders within their roles (and the CEO of their job responsibilities), then please study, debate and share the following “19 Victim Versus Leader Distinctions“:

#1. Victims talk about people. Leaders talk about ideas.

#2. Victims procrastinate around their goals. Leaders execute on them.

#3. Victims enjoy watching things (like TV and video games). Leaders like making things.

#4. Victims are distracted. Leaders are concentrated.

#5. Victims abhor change. Leaders Adore change.

#6. Victims read what everyone reads. Leaders read what few do.

#7. Victims associate with other victims. Leaders spend most of their time with superstars (and thereby dramatically elevate their productivity and success).

#8. Victims are stuck in the past. Leaders are inspired by the future.

#9. Victims resist hard projects. Leaders seek them out (knowing it refines their chops).

#10. Victims work at mediocrity. Leaders view work as an opportunity to pursue Mastery.

#11. Victims give most of their time to leisure. Leaders spend a ton of time on their learning.

#12. Victims tear people down (because it makes them feel better). Leaders lift others up.

#13. Victims are rude. Leaders are polite.

#14. Victims practise negativity. Leaders are unreasonably positive.

#15. Victims can’t wait to retire. Leaders are afraid to retire (why retire when you’re having so much fun building something important, growing more leaders and producing value for the world?).

#16. Victims waste time. Leaders exploit time.

#17. Victims achieve things for the applause. Leaders achieve them for the fulfillment.

#18. Victims sleep late. Leaders rise early.

#19. Victims view work as a means to pay the bills. Leaders view work as a way to change the world.

My great wish is that these ideas inspire you to Lead Without a Title, lift your teammates to their next level of wow and grow a great company.

My team was recently able to connect with Glen Reyes, creator of H4 (howhiphophelps.org) [more on this story later]. H4 is an organization aimed to help people find their passion in life and to do what they LOVE. There are so many outside factors in the world and society that tells us that we “cant”, that things are “impossible” or to “be realistic”. Will Smith said it best that:

Our TEAM has made the conscious decision to strive for excellence and to THINK BIG! There is one unifying principle that has made an impact in our journey and that is the feeling of empowerment and the new found belief that we can do anything!!

Our team is very passionate about having a positive impact on those around us. We have set up weekly meetings and are extremely lucky to be receiving guidance and mentorship from Glen. The picture above is taken from one of our brainstorming sessions. We believe that all women deserve to be confident, resilient and the best in all that they do. Big things are cooking about what we have to give back to the world. WOMEN EMPOWERMENT. STAY TUNED!

My WHY

On April 1st 2013, I made one of the best, life changing decisions to join the company, Arbonne, as an independent consultant!  I was introduced to Arbonne at a launch party through my cousin, Ria. She is a full-time teacher and has always been someone that I looked up to. She is very smart and successful, so I was intrigued to learn more about what Arbonne was all about. The message that I got from the launch party was very effective and I immediately knew this was perfect for me. This is why:

  1. Toxins are found in our everyday personal care products.

A few years ago, I started researching about the different ingredients in our personal care products and was shocked to learn that there are many cancerous and harmful chemicals used in common soaps, lotions, makeup, toothpaste, and deodorant. So I started reading labels to find common reoccurring chemicals, for example cancerous chemicals, parabens, and petrolatum were in almost everything. I kept searching and trying  new products. I’ve spent thousands of dollars searching for the perfect, natural product. The ones I have tried were made with healthy ingredients, but I found that they did not work and only made my sensitive, eczema skin worse! It was like a nightmare of always trying a new product hoping it would be perfect.

  1. Arbonne Products

The Arbonne products are made with the highest of standards; they abide by European regulations for personal care products, are vegan certified and botanically based. They have never had animal testing and contain no animal by-products. Arbonne products are guaranteed to be pure, safe, and beneficial.

Arbonne products are created with:

If you try the skin care and cosmetics, I guarantee you will love them 100 percent!!! I have never tried a whole line that I have loved so much.

Haircare: I used to use Head and Shoulders for my dandruff, but after using the FC5 shampoo and FC5 conditioner, my dandruff went away!

Skincare:  The FC5 normal/dry hydrating set (face wash, night cream, day cream and eye cream) has a very fresh and clean scent and makes my face feel soft. I also like how the day cream has SPF, which is essential for protecting skin from the sun.

Makeup (my fave!)“It’s a Long Story” is the absolute best mascara I have ever tried in my life!! I cant believe I even wear mascara now, simply because I used to hate wearing it! Mascara was always a hassle for me to take off and I found it got clumpy. With “It’s a Long Story” my lashes have never been so long! (One of my girlfriends was going to get lash extensions but chose not to after trying this!) And it comes off so easily.

Primer: The primer is another one of my faves – it goes on so smooth and helps make up to stay on all day long!
The Liquid Perfecting Foundation feels so light, like nothing is there! And the coverage works really well.

*The BEST part about all the products is that they are all made with the purest of ingredients, highest safety, and abide by European Union standards for cosmetics.*

  1. The Amazing Opportunity

I spend so much money on cosmetics and skin care every month, why not make an income out of it? Why not choose the people I want to work with? Why nit strive for a residual income? Why not use products that are safe for myself and my family? Why not work so hard in the first few years so that in the later years you won’t have to? Why not choose to lead others and challenge ourselves to do things we never thought we could, step out of our comfort zone and make a difference?  WHY NOT DREAM BIG and STRIVE FOR MORE IN LIFE?
